This position is based at our North Canton, OH location.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily EH&S walks to ensure compliance
  • Chair and maintain monthly meetings
  • Maintain SDS books
  • Maintain safety cabinet inventories
  • Monitor PPE requirements
  • Conduct monthly fire extinguisher inspections
  • Conduct and monitor air/ water sampling
  • Create and maintain annual EH&S training schedule
  • Create and maintain monthly EH&S reports
  • Conduct annual evacuation drill
  • Review, revise, and/ or create EH&S process and procedure
  • Maintain EH&S awareness and vigilance throughout the facility in accordance with local, state, and federal law
  • Continuously monitor EH&S process and procedure, and as needed, recommend solutions
  • Direct QA activities including but not limited to inspections, metrology, quality documentation, quality records and survey/audit activities.
  • Ensures and performs internal audits per schedule and necessary corrective actions are performed to determine effectiveness of eliminating and preventing non-conforming issues
  • Maintains Logs – Calibration/all tabs, CARS/PARS, Customer Complaints, RMA, MIF and others as requested.
  • Track CARS/PARS to completion
  • Review Test Report Documentation prior to be sent out to Customer
  • Fill out and submit TDLR and 1CB reports as needed
  • Ensure that corrective actions are taken which effectively address internal or supplier quality programs
  • Maintain clean and safe work area
  • All duties assigned by your immediate supervisor and/or management
  • Responsible for understanding and executing Company goals and objectives while actively contributing to the cohesiveness of the team
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned

Ensure that processes for the Environmental, Health, & Safety are established, documented, implemented, and maintained in compliance with OSHA, federal, and state laws. Ensure, the promotion and awareness of EH&S throughout the organization. Responsible for addressing quality issues, directing corrective actions, and making recommendations for continuous improvement. Report to top management regarding performance and status of EH&S and the companies Quality performance including any needed improvements.


Qualifications

  • Education
    • Associates degree in business or equivalent specialized experience.
  • Experience
    • 3-5 years of EH&S and Quality experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Specialized knowledge
    • ISO 9001:2015
    • Lean/ Six Sigma concepts
  • Skills
    • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
    • Analytical, statistical, and critical thinking skills
    • Strong leadership qualities with excellent skills in interpersonal relationships, communication, and teamwork
    • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office applications software
  • Abilities
    • Independent, self-motivated with drive and initiative.
    • Influence change through training and mentoring.
    • Demonstrated time management skills.
    • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagrammatic form.
    • Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Regular attendance during established hours and overtime as required.
